Our Vision and Mission
Mentone SDA Elementary School is dedicated to providing a nurturing and supportive environment where students can thrive spiritually, mentally, and physically. Our holistic curriculum is designed to empower students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their educational journey. Through a combination of interactive learning, extracurricular activities, and community engagement, we aim to cultivate well-rounded individuals who are equipped to achieve anything they set their mind to.
Mental
Our academic enrichment program aims to provide students with a well-rounded educational experience, enhancing their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Through a blend of book work, and hands on practical application students are encouraged to explore and expand their knowledge across all subjects.
Physical
The physical education program focuses on promoting a healthy and active lifestyle for students. Through physical activities such as gardening, construction, sports, and group play, students learn the importance of teamwork, discipline, and goal setting. Not only do they live healthier, they also learn life skills at the same time.
Spiritual
The most important education goal at our school is that students develop their own personal relationship with Jesus and in so doing, become His disciples. As His disciples they will engage in preaching, creating Bible studies, and door to door book sales. Fostering a spiritual life purpose through education is our first and foremost goal.
Our Holistic Approach
Our school is unique for its low student to teacher ratio where multiple grades learn in the same classroom. This allows students to learn from one another and use teamwork to tackle challenges. Students also have the opportunity to engage in Mentone SDA Homeschool Co-Op activities on Tuesday afternoons which includes lessons in chimes, art, choir, and many other classes. On Wednesday afternoons we provide canvassing (selling books door to door) to raise money for school trips and student tuition. Mentone SDA School operates from 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Thursday, providing a comprehensive educational experience for all students.
